We were the first to construct all-weather training tracks, competition arenas, and race tracks in South Africa, setting a new standard for equestrian infrastructure on the continent.

MAINTAINING SURFACES

Weekly Rakes

Let us do your weekly mechanical rake for you. We will bring our equipment to you and you can skip the hassle and expense of purchasing your own equipment. Our knowledgeable staff and high quality equipment will make sure your base is not being damaged during raking.

Arena Rake & Level

Due to natural movement of sand during usage as well as weather conditions, we recommend arena rake and level’s every 3-6 months on your surface. this ensures you have an equal layer of surface throughout your arena.

Show Maintenance

We prepare competition arenas for major events such as World Cup Qualifiers. Show organisers, riders and course designers are always very satisfied with the preparation of our surfaces for major events.

Peter Morrison is widely recognised as a world leader in arena and show preparation, having been entrusted with surface preparation and maintenance for some of the most prestigious equestrian events worldwide. In 2025 alone, Peter Morrison Equestrian Ltd managed the arena surfaces for the Amir’s Sword, CHI Al Shaqab, and the Longines Global Champions Tour at Al Shaqab in Doha, Qatar. That same year, Peter also served as an official consultant for the Show Jumping Military Games in Egypt, and was Chef d’Équipe for Team South Africa at the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup in Samorin, Slovakia.

PLANT HIRE

Peter Morrison Arenas has staff and equipment to help you with all your equestrian needs. We can assist with levelling of surfaces for paddock areas, derby arenas and stable blocks. We can also assist with delivery of materials for your site. Our plant includes and not limited to TLB’s, 30ton Horse and Trailer truck, tractors and raking equipment.
