All Weather Arenas
For best all round performance, arena’s constructed using this method are GUARANTEED. They can be built over various sub base conditions; clay, sand and turf. The arena consists of a network of sub surface perforated pipes which remove both underground and water coming from the surface.

There is a protective membrane which spreads the load of the stone base across the entire base. Your stone layer acts as your arena base and the drainage blanket allows every part of the arena to drain at exactly the same rate – ensuring surface consistency. A second thicker membrane is installed over the entire stone layer to separate the surface and stone blanket. Your chosen Peter Morrison Equine Enterprises surface is then installed at a depth of 120mm over the membrane. A surface depth of 120mm or more is proven to provide the optimum cushion for horses on which to work. It is also possible to recycle water from this system to a storage tank for future use. This construction method requires minimal ground work, so large savings can be made on base construction.
